Launches the Auto Close Truck Visit background job that periodically checks for truck visits that have expired and updates the status of the truck visits to the CLOSED state. The background job considers the Time Allowed (mins) and Extra Time (mins) fields defined for a gate stage in the Gate Stage form. When a truck visit is auto-closed by this background job, N4 updates the Truck Visits and the Gate Transactions view by displaying a period in the Auto Clsd column for that specific truck visit or gate transaction.
The background job also evaluates the gate transactions associated with the truck visit. If the gate transactions have been handled and are in the OK, INCOMPLETE, or TROUBLE state, N4 sets the gate transactions as CLOSED. However, if the gate transactions have not been handled yet, N4 sets the gate transactions as CANCEL.
You can use the following setting to configure the Auto Close Truck Visit background job:
ROADGATE004 (ACTIVE_TRUCK_VISIT): Determines when the truck visit has expired or when it is considered for this background job.
ROADGATE020 (AUTO_CLOSE_TRUCK_VISIT_JOB_FREQUENCY_IN_MINUTES): To specify the frequency for this background job.
ROADGATE007 (AUTO_CANCEL_TRUCK_VISIT): To determine if this background job also automatically cancels truck visits.
You can use the Gate Transactions view to view the gate transactions associated with a truck visit.
To launch the Auto Close Truck Visit background job, you must:
Log in at the facility scope level.
Have the Background Job - Launch Auto Close Truck Visit privilege (on page 1).
Notes
N4 always sets the Through Container (TC) gate transactions as CLOSED.
If the current state of a truck visit or a gate transaction is COMPLETE, CANCEL, or CLOSED, N4 ignores the truck visit or the gate transaction.
